The Cliks' Lucas Silveira's "Twin"

Lucas Silveira is best known as the transgendered frontperson for Canadian rock band The Cliks. But the singer/guitarist recently Googled his name and "was completely weirded out" by what he discovered.
Silveira found out that there's another Lucas Silveira who happens to be the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for a Brazilian band called Fresno. But the similarities don’t stop there. The Cliks' Silveira posted 10 separated-at-birth photos in a recent MySpace blog entry that compare himself to Fresno's Silveira, and the similarities are rather eerie.
"He speaks Portuguese, he wears a signature guitar strap with a lightning bolt on it, his right arm has a full tattoo sleeve," wrote the Canadian Silveira, who was born a woman but identifies as a man.
"It's bizarre. The only thing that sets us apart is that he's not a tranny and he has awesome facial hair that I would love to have. We also apparently like to dress very much alike. What are the odds!!!! Enjoy!"
The Cliks will perform on Saturday at Toronto's Slack's Restaurant
& Bar along with The Joys, People You Know and Amanda Rheaume and others as
part of Rae Fest, a two-day festival to raise money for pancreatic
cancer research. Katey Morley, Hunter Valentine, The V-Girls, Melissa
Ferrick and others will perform the next day. Tickets are $40 per day
or $70 for both days, and performances run from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Cliks recorded the follow-up to 2007's Snakehouse with producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers) late last year in Weed, Calif. The album is tentatively scheduled for a March release. Here's a clip of the band recording three songs:
