Flight Of The Conchords Land iTunes Deal

If you've ever watched Flight Of The Conchords' HBO show, heard one of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement's short songs and thought, "Why can't I listen to that again right away?" you're about to be pretty happy.

The duo have landed an exclusive deal with iTunes that will allow fans to download Flight Of The Conchords songs a day after they're played on their television show of the same name.

"Angels," which Clement and McKenzie will debut on the program's season two premiere on Jan. 18, will be available for download through iTunes the next day. Tracks will be available after every episode and can be pre-ordered through the band's label, Sub Pop.

"More than one of them leans on a '70s soul sound," Tony Kiewel, Sub Pop's head of A&R, told Billboard.com. "I've also heard this choir-y sort of thing, a Meat Loaf-y sort of thing and a crazy top 40-type jam."

Once the 10-part season concludes, the songs will be assembled into a new album with five additional tracks, which will be released on April 14. The songs on the album will be different versions, since songs on Flight Of The Conchords' HBO series are typically only about a minute long.

The songs will be produced by Mickey Petralia, who produced Flight Of The Conchords' self-titled full-length debut. It will also feature guest appearances from Sia.

McKenzie and Clement are due to head out on a North American tour sometime this spring.
