Feist Raised $200,000 For Charities

If you bought merchandise from Feist's website last year, your money went to a good cause.
Feist donated all of the proceeds from sales of T-shirts, CDs, music boxes and other merchandise to Doctors Without Borders, CARE Canada, War Child Canada and The Salvation Army.
"We've tallied the numbers, connected the dots, and are delighted to report that over $200,000 has been donated to various excellent organizations," Feist wrote in a Jan. 7 MySpace blog entry.
"All of these agencies will continue to do immeasurably positive things, like: build schools, dig wells, educate communities and—in general—do piles of good well beyond the reach of rock and roll.
"We also undertook an incredible food drive! Near $20,000 was donated to food banks across Canada, not including the incredible 17,000 pounds of food that was delivered to tables across Canada during the November tour."
Feist encourages fans to continue to donate to or volunteer to work at their local food bank so people can fill their tummies during the cold weather and year-round.
