Razorlight will take their third shot at the North American success that's pretty much eluded them when they release Slipway Fires in March.
The 11-track album was released in the U.K. in November. It follows the British group's 2006 self-titled effort, which topped the sales chart in their homeland, but didn't have much of an impact on this side of the Atlantic. Excerpts of five songs from Slipway Fires can be heard on Razorlight's MySpace page, and you can see the band perform new material in the studio on their website.
A deluxe version of Slipway Fires will be released in the U.K. on Jan. 12. It includes: the original album; a DVD with five tracks captured at Fish Factory Studios, where some of the album was recorded; a download link to two exclusive bonus tracks and the "Wire To Wire" video. The two discs are packaged in a hardback book with a 22-page fold-out concertina and a separate lyric book.
Razorlight's Up All Night debut was originally released in the summer of 2004 and reissued in April 2005 with the previously unreleased "Somewhere Else," which hit #2 on the British singles chart. The album peaked at #3 on the U.K. sales chart. Both the self-titled album and its second single, "America," hit #1 in Britain.
Frontman Johnny Borrell, guitarist Bjorn Agren, bassist Carl Dalemo and drummer Andy Burrows will play these shows:
Jan. 23 Tokyo, Japan @ Shibuya AX
Jan. 25 Nagoya, Japan @ Diamond Hall
Jan. 26 Osaka, Japan @ Quattro
Jan. 29 Sydney, Australia @ The Metro Theatre
Jan. 31 Melbourne, Australia @ Hifi Bar & Ballroom

Feb. 7 Mexico City, Mexico @ Vive Cuervo Salon
