Wilco will release a live DVD titled Ashes Of American Flags before their next album hits stores.

A definite release date for the disc has yet to be confirmed, but it should be out in February or March on Nonesuch. Ashes Of American Flags, which is named after a song on Wilco's 2002 Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album, features footage from the band's performances at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium and the Cain Ballroom in Tulsa, Okla. last February.

The DVD was produced by Trixie Films' Brendan Canty and Christoph Green, who worked on frontman Jeff Tweedy's 2006 Sunken Treasure: Live In The Pacific Northwest DVD. The band will begin posting clips and more information about the DVD on their website this month.

Wilco will also begin working on their seventh studio album sometime in January. The follow-up to 2007's Sky Blue Sky should hit stores sometime in the spring.

Wilco finished 2008 by opening for Neil Young during parts of his North American tour. The band don't have any dates lined up for the near future, but you can see Tweedy at a few solo shows later this month. Guitarist Nels Cline will also play some shows this month with his jazz rock band Banyan and Mouthfull, before he releases his Coward solo album on Feb. 10.

You can see Tweedy here:

Jan. 29 Kalamazoo, MI @ State Theatre
Jan. 30 Ann Arbor, MI @ Hill Auditorium
Jan. 31 Champaign, IL @ Foellinger Auditorium (University Of Illinois)

Cline will play these shows:
