Montreal pop-punkers Simple Plan took part in a fundraising hockey game in Quebec City on Saturday and raised more than $100,000 for four charities with the help of the local Quebec Remparts junior hockey team and some NHL oldtimers.
During the heat of battle, drummer Chuck Comeau and singer Pierre Bouvier got into a friendly brawl which resulted in Comeau receiving nine stitches on his hand. The verdict is still out on whether or not it was accidental, but the band fulfilled their obligation to perform an acoustic set after the game.
Francophone readers can check out the action via video interviews with band members and goaltending legend Patrick Roy on the MusiquePlus website.
