Gorillaz Are Top MySpace Band

MySpace has a "Top 8" feature where you can put your eight favourite friends on your profile, so it's probably appropriate that the website has announced its eight most popular musical acts (in terms of their number of friends) and most watched videos of 2008.
Gorillaz are this year's most popular act with 682,875 friends. Bullet For My Valentine rank second, while Amy Winehouse is third. Coldplay, Lily Allen, M.I.A., Oasis and Imogen Heap round out the top eight.
Madonna's "4 Minutes" was the most viewed video on MySpace. It beat out The Verve's "Love Is Noise" and Brighton Port Authority featuring David Byrne and Dizzee Rascal's "Toe Jam." Videos by Justice, Oasis, DragonForce, Sigur Ros and The Raconteurs also made the top eight.
