Amy Millan has started work on a new solo album that she hopes to have out sometime next year.
The
Stars singer wrote
in a Dec. 18 MySpace
blog entry that she was "hidden in the ontario hills" working on the as-yet-untitled sophomore solo release with Toronto singer/songwriter Christine Bougie, Dan Whiteley, Mark Roy and Dean Stone. C'Mon's Ian Blurton produced Millan's last album, 2006's
Honey From The Tombs.
"Between the non stop hilarity, the hot toddies and the winter walks we have already laid five potentials," Millan wrote.
Stars released their fourth album, the Polaris Music Prize-nominated
In Our Bedroom After The War, last year. Their
Sad Robots EP came out in September.
