Barenakeds Solo And With McLachlan

Barenaked Ladies keyboardist Kevin Hearn will release an album in April.

Not much more is known about the follow-up to 2006's The Miracle Mile, which Hearn recorded with his band, Thin Buckle.

Barenaked Ladies are prepping a new album and a box set for release sometime next year. Drummer Tyler Stewart recently told Billboard.com that the band should return to the studio by the summer to begin recording a new album.

The box set will be released in the fall to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary, according to Stewart. It will feature "all kinds of crazy materials," videos, live tracks and other material, including a different version of "The Old Apartment" and material written by ex-BNL keyboardist Andy Creeggan. Stewart said the band might embark on a 20th anniversary tour in May.

Sarah McLachlan has just been added to the performance lineup of Barenaked Ladies' Ships And Dip V cruise, which sets sail from Miami, Fla. for Cozumel, Mexico on Feb. 1. Sloan, Great Big Sea, The Weakerthans, The Odds, Christine Fellows, Melissa McClelland, The Mountain Goats and others will also perform during the cruise.

Barenaked Ladies will play on New Year's Eve at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Mich.
