Simple Plan will be front and centre at Quebec City's Pepsi Coliseum on Saturday.
Things begin at 1:30 p.m. with a skills competition for the Quebec Remparts junior hockey team. Simple Plan members will then take the ice for a friendly shinny game with the Remparts and former NHL players, including Patrick Roy and Stephane Fiset. Simple Plan will play an acoustic set in the middle of the rink after the game.
Tickets are $19 and available from
Billetech. Proceeds will go to four charities: Simple Plan Foundation, The Centre Psyco-pédagogique De Québec Foundation, The Pignon Bleu and The Québec Remparts' Studies Foundation.
Simple Plan started their
foundation in 2005 after receiving mail from fans about the difficulties they faced while growing up.
Simple Plan released their self-titled third studio album in February. Its third single, "Save You," was
written about singer Pierre Bouvier’s brother being diagnosed with cancer. All the proceeds from download sales were donated to the band’s foundation.
