Matt Good Denounces Biography

We recently told you about a new "unauthorized" Matthew Good biography which didn't seem to be getting much press.
On Sunday, two days after we published the story, Good took to his website to denounce the biography. He says it was unauthorized and he's threatening legal action over the book.
"I seem to be under the misguided impression that when someone pens a biography about you that you do not endorse, nor are contacted about, that it must be labeled an 'unauthorized' biography," Good wrote in a Dec. 14 post on his website titled "It Never Ends."
In another entry written the same day, Good wrote that he wants the author of the book to retitle it to include the words "unauthorized biography" and pull the copies that are already in print, "or I will be forced to let my management and legal representation deal with the matter directly, which will include seeking damages."
Good also takes issue with the biography's content. He says he wasn't interviewed for the book, nor were any of his family members or friends, which leads him to conclude that it's "based on - I don't know, internet history?
"How can anyone claim to write about the making of records unless they interviewed those involved and expect anyone to take it at face value?" he wrote.
"I have no idea if it goes into my personal life, but that runs the risk of a serious law suit depending on whether or not inaccuracies were included that were not fact checked by contacting those that represent me (not to mention private legal encumbrances that would land certain parties in serious hot water)."
Good also takes issue with the title and that the author is writing under George Orwell's given name of Eric Blair, and calls the latter "tacky."
"Having received emails this morning regarding this matter I am utterly embarrassed that this work is being promoted on the fan sites of some of my friends," he wrote. "It flat out makes me look bad, not to mention completely misrepresenting me."
