Calgary folk-pop band Woodpigeon will domestically release their second album, Treasury Library Canada, on Feb. 3 via Boompa Records. It will come out in Europe six days later through End Of The Road Records.
"Treasury Library Canada feels more and more like a continuation of the diary composed on our first record, Songbook," says singer/songwriter/guitarist Mark Hamilton. "But where Songbook told the story of my time living overseas — from happy arrival to admittedly bitter departure — Treasury Library Canada compiles the sounds of struggling with place."
The album was previously available online and at Woodpigeon shows, but is now being officially released in a deluxe edition that will come with a 10-song bonus CD called Houndstooth Europa.
The eight-piece band will release their third album, Die Stadt Muzikanten, next fall.
You can listen to songs from Treasury Library Canada and Houndstooth Europa on Woodpigeon's MySpace page.
