The
Barenaked Ladies were forced to postpone two shows at Ottawa's National Arts Centre on Saturday.
Singer/guitarist Ed Robertson's mother "has been admitted suddenly to the hospital with a serious illness," said a post on the band's
website.
The Ladies plan to reschedule the shows as soon as possible, and all tickets will be honoured at the new dates. Refunds are also available through Ticketmaster.
Barenaked For The Holidays, the group's 2004 album featuring renditions of Christmas and Chanukkah songs, will be on sale for $2.99 U.S. if you download it between Dec. 17 and 25.
You can see the Barenaked Ladies on New Year's Eve at Detroit's Fox Theatre and on their Ships & Dip V
cruise, which leaves Miami, Fla. for Cozumel, Mexico on Feb. 1.
