Those of you who voted for Silverstein over Alexisonfire in our "Better Screamers" poll last Tuesday may be happy to know that Silverstein's new album will be available on March 31 through Victory Records.
The Burlington, Ont. band went back into the studio in late November and are recording with producer Cameron Webb again in the Toronto area. Their still untitled fourth albumis the follow-up to 2007's Arrivals & Departures. Webb previously produced 2005's Discovering The Waterfront.
"We are 3 weeks deep into the process and are extremely happy with how everything sounds," drummer Paul Koehler wrote in a Dec. 14 post on the band's website. "It's been a pleasure working with Cameron Webb again, and he's really helped us take our new songs to the next level."
Koehler previously said the band spent the summer writing new songs and would head back on the road in February. They recently posted a new song titled "Broken Stars" on their MySpace page, though it's not yet clear whether it will appear on the new album.
You can see Silverstein at these shows:
Feb. 18 Honolulu, HI @ Pipeline Cafe
Feb. 21 Brisbane, Australia @ RNA Showgrounds (Soundwave Festival)
Feb. 22 Sydney, Australia @ TBA (Soundwave Festival)
Feb. 27 Melbourne, Australia @ Melbourne Showgrounds (Soundwave Festival)
Feb. 28 Adelaide, Australia @ Bonython Park (Soundwave Festival)
March 2 Perth, Australia @ Steel Blue Oval (Soundwave Festival)
