Kanye West: Wannabe Fashion Intern

Maybe Stephen Colbert got to Kanye West, who told U.K. newspaper The Mirror that he plans to take a break from music and is moving to London, England to do a fashion internship.

"I'm going to go and take an internship and just do something that's like completely normal, and just rap at the weekends or something," West said.

West has applied at Louis Vuitton's Bond Street headquarters (insert obvious "Gold Digger" lyrics joke here) and other fashion houses. He's already working on his Past Tell Clothing line, previously known as Pastelle, which is set to launch next year.

West is sort of following in suspended NHL player Sean Avery's footsteps. Avery interned at Vogue magazine while he was a New York Ranger. We're not sure if he got sloppy seconds from editors. He wouldn't have if he had interned at Chart.

West recently finished recording "Diamonds" with Christina Milian. The song will appear on her yet-to-be-titled fourth album next year. Milian described working with West as an "easy, breezy" experience. Maybe West should have applied to intern at Cover Girl.
