Arcade Fire Documentary Coming

Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire will release a documentary titled Miroir Noir about the making of Neon Bible and its subsequent tour on Monday.

A short video teaser for the 70-minute documentary can be viewed at miroir-noir.com.

Miroir Noir was directed by Vincent Morriset and features concert footage shot by Vincent Moon, who's work has been featured prominently on the Blogotheque website. A deluxe-edition DVD, featuring Arcade Fire's performances on Saturday Night Live and Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, will also be available. Both versions will be available to purchase from miroir-noir.com, and the download version will be immediately delivered to your computer.

The film has apparently been in the works for two years. Morisset and Moon followed Arcade Fire across Europe and North America to shoot performances both on and off the stage.

Moon is the creator of the popular Take Away Shows, where he films acts playing their songs in impromptu locations and then uploads the sets to his website. Miroir Noir was apparently inspired by a Take Away Show that Arcade Fire was the subject of in 2007, which you can see here.
