Katy Perry Apologizes To Lily Allen... Sort Of

Katy Perry has spoken out about comments in which she called Lily Allen fat.
We wrote on Tuesday about how Allen had called Perry "crass" and the "American version" of her after she heard Perry had described herself as the "fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinnier version of Lily Allen." Allen said that comment caused her to be "frosty" when she met Perry this year.
But now Perry says she was just joking around.
"Yeah, I made a joke about [that] earlier this year," Perry told US Weekly magazine. "I was just kind of joking and trying to be funny.
"I didn't mean anything by it. Comedians are not necessarily to be taken super seriously."
Last time I checked, Perry's chosen profession was music, not comedy. Does she really think she's a comedian? She's about as funny as a coconut, which isn't very funny. Unless you count her music, of course, but that's unintentional comedy.
In any case, we're still waiting for the cat fight we think might emerge from these comments.
"Can't you take a joke?" has been tried several times, so we wonder how Allen will respond.
