Arkells will play Dave Bookman's Nu Music Holiday Bash on Tuesday at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern.
The Hamilton band will be joined by Songs From A Room, Young Rival and We Are The Take. Doors are at 8:30 p.m. and admission is free, but organizers are encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable food donations for Toronto's Daily Bread Food Bank.
Bookie's Nu Music Holiday Bash is part of Nu Music Night, a free event that Bookman hosts every Tuesday night at the Horseshoe. It's considered ground zero for emerging Canadian bands.
Arkells recently performed during the halftime show at the Vanier Cup, the annual championship game for Canadian university football. They played "Oh, The Boss Is Coming!" and "Pulling Punches" from this year's Jackson Square. You can see their performance here:
