Chad VanGaalen will play a one-off Feb. 27 show at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom.
The concert is the first VanGaalen has announced for 2009. He recently completed a European tour with his Flemish Eye labelmates Women, whose self-titled debut album he produced.
VanGaalen's fourth album, Soft Airplane, is still on the Canadian campus radio chart at #6 in its 15th week.
VanGaalen is also up for three CBC Radio 3 Bucky Awards. "Willow Tree" and "Molten Light" were nominated for future classic and best video, respectively. He also earned a nomination for best advice from an artist.
