The long-talked-about Blur reunion, which was confirmed two weeks ago, has just become more concrete with the band's revelation that they'll perform in London, England's Hyde Park on July 3.

The Brit-pop band talked about the reunion in this video:

"It's gonna be a bit like putting The A-Team back together for a job," says bassist Alex James in the clip. "We've gotta bust [drummer Dave] Rowntree out of law school."

Guitarist Graham Coxon had this to say:

"Part of me thinks it's like riding a bike, and it'll just take us getting the volume turned up and then we'll be away, and that will be enough. But another part of me is very cautious. So I'm not gonna bother writing a script. I just think it's going to be good fun."

Singer Damon Albarn dribbles a basketball.

The Hyde Park concert will be the first for Albarn, Coxon, James and Rowntree since 2000. Tickets cost £45 (approximately $84 Canadian) and go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday (British time) here, where you can see more interview and performance clips.

There are rumours that Blur might also play other shows, including a slot at England's Glastonbury Festival, next summer.

Blur formed in Colchester, England in 1989 and have recorded seven studio albums, with the last being 2003's Think Tank.

Blur and Oasis had a major rivalry through the '90s, reaching a peak when the former's "Country House" beat the latter's "Roll With It" to #1 on the U.K. singles chart in 1995. The feud seems to have ended, judging by a recent Noel Gallagher interview, but maybe Blur's revival can renew hostilities.

"Looking back now, that fight's all so pathetic over two really quite shit pop songs," Gallagher told NME.com of his beef with Albarn. "He's a great artist.

"He's different from me. I'm not an artist for me, it just comes out. He does Chinese operas and that kind of thing, he's got more strings to his bow than I'll ever have."
