Hubby Wants A Million From Winehouse

Remember when Blake Fielder-Civil said he didn't want any of Amy Winehouse's money? It turns out he was lying.

Fielder-Civil is demanding £1 million (about $1.9 million Canadian) to keep quiet about the couple's marriage, according to Britain's News Of The World tabloid. He said last week that he doesn't want any of Winehouse's money should she divorce him, and she's been rumoured to have started that process.

"That's all pretence — Blake has asked Amy's manager for one million pounds to walk away from their marriage and not write a tell-all book about it," one of Winehouse's friends told News Of The World.

"He's so two-faced. He just wants a pay-off. Money's his driving force."

Fielder-Civil has apparently told his mother that Winehouse's father, Mitch, has already offered him £50,000 (about $95,000 Canadian) to divorce his daughter. Fielder-Civil's mother, Georgette, told News Of The World that this isn't enough.

"Mitch's £50,000 offer was an insult. Amy's worth £10 million and Blake's her husband. He's entitled to at least £3 million after all he's been through with her."

Georgette Fielder-Civil said she also orchestrated her son's escape from rehab last week and was behind his heading to a London, England hospital where Winehouse is recovering from a "seizure." Georgette says Winehouse broke down and told her husband she would never divorce him. But Winehouse's friends say this isn't true.

"The truth is Amy's bouncers kept him away from her, while HE blubbed uncontrollably," an unnamed pal told News Of The World.

Fielder-Civil fled rehab last week after he failed a mandatory drug test. He'd been in a rehab centre since Nov. 5. He was released from prison after serving 12 months of a 27-month sentence for grievous bodily harm and attempting to pervert the course of justice after he admitted he beat up pub landlord James King in 2006 and bribed him not to testify about it. Fielder-Civil was sent back to prison after his escape and may not be released until 2010.

Winehouse is rumoured to have initiated divorce proceedings against her husband, whom she had not seen in person since he had been transferred to rehab.

Fielder-Civil admitted in a taped interview that he was responsible for introducing Winehouse to hard drugs. He also said he wouldn't return to her after he was released from rehab and didn't want any of her money, should she divorce him.
