Black Lips Know How To Count

Rowdy Atlanta, Ga. garage rock band the Black Lips have lots of vices, but their main one may be their label. Vice Records will release the group's 200 Million Thousand on Feb. 24.
Black Lips recorded many of the songs at a former Atlanta art gallery this summer, when the album reportedly had a working title of Ancient Egypt.
It's the fifth studio album from the eight-year-old band, composed of singer/guitarist Cole Alexander, bassist Jared Swilley, drummer Joe Bradley and guitarist Ian St. Pe, who joined in 2004 after Ben Eberbaugh was killed by a drunk driver in 2002 and Jack Hines left after recording We Did Not Know The Forest Spirit Made The Flowers Grow.
Black Lips are featured in the upcoming documentary, We Fun: Atlanta, GA Inside Out. Here's the trailer:
Black Lips also took part in volume six of Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty's Burn To Shine DVD series, which documents music scenes of specific cities with unique performances of acts set in spaces set for demolition.
The follow-up to last year's Good Bad Not Evil will be showcased at British and American performances beginning around the time of the 14-track album's release. You can see Black Lips do all manner of crazy things here:
