Islands will open for Blonde Redhead at New York City's Terminal 5 on New Year's Eve and will spend most of February touring Europe.

Nick Thorburn will
curate a benefit concert in his adopted home of New York City on Monday. The Knitting Factory show will feature performances by Thorburn, guitarist Marnie Stern, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead's Conrad Keely, Despot, comic actors David Cross and Fred Armisen and unnamed surprise guests. All proceeds will go to New York Cares, a local charitable organization that supports underprivileged communities, the homeless and various social and welfare services.
