Bon Scott’s Dirty Deeds On Film

A tribute album, numerous biographies and an Australian documentary have already chronicled the life of former AC/DC singer Bon Scott, but filmmaker Eddie Martin is working on a biopic about the frontman who died at age 33 from alcohol poisoning.
Martin, who also made Lionel about Australia's first aboriginal boxing champion, wants to make the movie because he’s unhappy with earlier depictions of Scott.
"Obviously we have gone through most of them, but talking to Bon's friends, they aren't happy with the books and feel they have been misrepresented," he told Australian music website Undercover. "We want to go much deeper with the movie."
Martin is still in the writing and research stage. He's talking to members of Scott's early bands and the singer's friends, and is looking for more people who knew him. He's particularly interested in a girl known as Silver who lived with Scott in London, England after he split from his wife, Irene.
Scott moved to Australia when he was six years old and was in several bands, including The Valentines and The Spektors, before replacing Dave Evans in AC/DC. Scott recorded six albums with AC/DC, though some weren’t released internationally until after his death in 1980. Highway To Hell, the group's international breakthrough, was Scott's last album with AC/DC.
No one has been cast for the lead role in Martin's movie yet, but Australian actor Tom Budge (Three Dollars, The Opposite Of Velocity) is being considered to play diminutive guitarist Angus Young. Martin says it will be at least a year before he starts filming.
