Jimi Hendrix Guitar Strap For Sale

The guitar strap from Jimi Hendrix's 1969 performances at Woodstock and the Hollywood Bowl is for sale. But fans may be thrown into a manic depression when they find out just how much it's going for.
The starting bid is $25,000 U.S. (about $31,000 Canadian), but auction house Profiles In History estimates the strap — which comes framed with Hendrix photos and a Woodstock poster — could fetch up to $35,000 (about $43,500 Canadian). And ChartAttack's news editor thought I paid too much for Jeff Martin's new album.
The auction begins on Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. PST. Bids are being accepted on eBay Live Auctions, in person at the Calabasas Hills, Calif. auction house, by phone, fax or mail.
