Morrissey's New Album Is For Babies

Morrissey

Morrissey has announced more details about his new album, Years Of Refusal.

The disc will be released on Feb. 16 through Decca. It was produced by Jerry Finn, who passed away earlier this year. Guitarists Boz Boorer and Alain Whyte co-wrote Years Of Refusal's songs with Moz. Although a track list hasn't been revealed, "That's How People Grow Up," "Something Is Squeezing My Skull," "Mama Lay Softly On The Riverbed," "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" and "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell" are expected to be included on the disc.

Moz also revealed the album's cover art. Check it out, baby:

We always figured Morrissey as the type of guy who wouldn't like kids, unless the baby is meant to represent himself at an earlier age, and that scar on his arm is a metaphor for everything he's gone through. We don't quite get the W on the baby's forehead, though.

If you aren't already a walking Morrissey encyclopedia, you can pick up Mozpedia: The Encyclopedia Of Morrissey And The Smiths, when it hits stores next June. The 544-page book by Simon Goddard includes more than 300,000 words about everything Morrissey has ever done.
