While Chris Martin says he's a big Oasis fan and that Coldplay would be willing to open for the Manchester group, the feeling isn't mutual for Liam Gallagher.
"I don't give a shit about Coldplay," the Oasis singer told Loaded magazine. "We are the coolest band and we are the best fucking band.
"We are the most important band. We may not be the biggest band in America, but who would want that? We aren't as big as we could be in America because of our attitudes. We're miserable. The main reason is they obviously don't like us. But a lot of people over there do like us. We sold out Madison Square Garden in a minute and we tour there for a long time.
"But they don't buy our records. But America is not the be all and end all for Oasis. America is a country in a fucking very big world, so if they don't like us, somewhere else will."
Coldplay recorded a song with Kylie Minogue called "Lhuna" during the Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends sessions that can be heard on (Red)Wire, a new digital music magazine dedicated to helping eliminate AIDS in Africa. U2, Jay-Z, Joseph Arthur, Sheryl Crow, Death Cab For Cutie, Jenny Lewis, the Dixie Chicks, John Legend, The Police with Elvis Costello and The Killers with Elton John and Neil Tennant have also contributed songs to the site. They can all be heard here.
Viva La Vida is the best selling album on iTunes this year. It has sold more than 500,000 digital copies since June, which gives more credence to Coldplay being named the biggest band in the universe at the World Music Awards earlier this fall.
Coldplay are in the midst of a U.K. tour and will perform in Japan and Australia in February and March. Jay-Z, who collaborated with Coldplay on "Lost+" on the newly released Prospekts March EP, will open for the band at three U.K. stadium shows next September.
Oasis are touring North America and will play the John Labatt Centre in London, Ont. on Dec. 15.

I guess Coldplay won't be opening for Oasis.
