April Wine Frontman Collapses

April Wine had to cancel a Halifax performance when frontman Myles Goodwin was hospitalized on Friday.
The 60-year-old collapsed and hit his head shortly after he arrived at the airport in Montreal.
Guitarist Brian Greenway, who was travelling with Goodwin, told CBC News that his colleague seemed to be doing better after he was admitted to the hospital. Greenway said Goodwin would have some tests, but he was still waiting for more information from the doctors on his status.
Greenway and Goodwin were en route to Halifax to play radio station Q104's Quarter Century Concert, where they were planning on surprising fans by reuniting on stage with original founding members Richie and David Henman.
The show still went ahead and featured a tribute to April Wine, who got their start in Nova Scotia's capital. Joel Plaskett was added to the show's lineup, which also included Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Sam Roberts Band and 54-40.
