Limp Bizkit May Actually Be Reuniting

Fred Durst announced on Limp Bizkit's MySpace blog in September that the band (with the exception of original guitarist Wes Borland) were planning a reunion.

"It is getting very close to time to drop the bizkit on the universe," he wrote in a Sept. 16 MySpace blog entry. "I say this with the absolute best intentions and motivation. We, Limp Bizkit, are excited about the future for us and you."

Durst went on to promise fans that he would "post a variety of songs as well a little later."

Durst was quiet after that, which led to speculation that the reunion rumours were bunk. But on Tuesday, Durst wrote another MySpace blog entry in which he wrote that he'd simply forgotten his MySpace password, which was why he'd been silent for two months.

"I finally remembered my freaking password to this portal," he wrote. "What I want you to know is that shit is going down!! The Limp dogs are bringing it hard. It is time to rally the family and prepare the most significant year for us all - 2009

"We have to become one. A voice louder than them all. We will fill the void together. I have never been more excited. It will be important that you stay tuned and help rally the troops for this explosion. And I promise to not be so cryptic as the days progress.

"We are ready. Are you?"

There are a few things we don't really understand here. How exactly does one lose their MySpace password? Forgetting it is one thing, but there's something called the "I forgot my password" function, where you enter your email address and the password is sent to you in 0.768 seconds. And even if you can't remember it (because, say, it's a series of random numbers and letters) once it's sent to you, there's something called copy and paste.

But alas, Durst might be telling the truth, because while he wasn't blogging on Limp Bizkit's MySpace page, Bizkit drummer John Otto was writing about recording on his MySpace page.

"Sam and I Have been working in the studio almost every day this week and everything is going great," he wrote in a Nov. 8 MySpace blog entry. "We are very excited that Lee [DJ Lethal] and Fred will be joining us soon."

Otto and bassist Sam Rivers have also been posting studio updates on the forums for the Limp Bizkit tribute site. As of Nov. 15, they were the only two members of Limp Bizkit in the studio.

We wouldn't really be surprised if Durst somehow forgot his MySpace password considering his cracked-out behaviour of late. He appeared on the Tom Green Show in July and had inexplicably acquired a southern accent (which was described as straight outta Sling Blade, seriously) and made little to no sense. He also appeared in a black cap and went on about how he thought his red cap was magical. Here's the video:

1997- 2002 were easily the worst years in music history. Fred Durst deserves about 35 per cent of the blame for those years.
