You probably haven't heard of The Hookham Boys, but you likely know the pedigrees of their members.
The British group include Damon Reece (Massive Attack, Echo And The Bunnymen, Spiritualized), Alex Lee (Placebo, Suede, Goldfrapp), Sean Cook (Spiritualized), Joe Allen (Strangelove), Jake Drake Brockman (Echo And The Bunnymen), actor Vincent Pellegrino and Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil).
The band will make their live debut Wednesday night at London, England's The Library in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust charity. It's a pay what you can gig.
Given the group members' other affiliations, you'll likely be surprised that The Hookham Boys have promised to offer "a unique performance with a healthy dose of countrybilly and a sprinkle of Johnny Cash."
The performance will mark the somewhat reclusive Fraser's first return to the stage in years. But she's married to Reece, so she probably figures she should support her hubby. The 45-year-old Fraser has reportedly been recording a solo album, but little is known about it.
