Plants And Animals Play Hometown Show

Plants And Animals will play a special show at La Tulipe in their hometown of Montreal on Thursday.
It's hard to believe, but the band say they haven't played Montreal since they released their Parc Avenue debut in February. Plants And Animals will have David Macleod and Ideal Lovers with them, along with other special guests who haven't yet been announced. There will be limited-edition posters, new T-shirts and vinyl copies of Parc Avenue at the merch table.
Parc Avenue came out on Feb. 26 and was shortlisted for the 2008 Polaris Music Prize. That disc's "Bye Bye Bye" also recently garnered them a CBC Radio 3 Bucky Award nomination.
Check out an exclusive video interview with the band backstage at the Polaris gala here and an up-close-and-personal video interview here.
You can also see Warren Spicer (vocals, guitar), Nicolas Basque (guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals) and Matthew Woodley (drums, vocals) on Dec. 20 at Halifax's soon-to-be-closed Marquee Club.
