A.C. Newman's New Song

Matador Records will release A.C. Newman's Get Guilty on Jan. 20.
No track list has yet been revealed, but the album's first single will be "The Palace At 4 A.M." You can hear "There Are Maybe Ten Or Twelve" here.
While Newman's main squeeze, The New Pornographers, seem to be heading into a lull of inactivity after their extensive touring for last year's Challengers and their Stanley Park party, the man also known as Carl Newman is slated to tour North America from February until next summer. No dates have been announced.
Newman previewed new material from Get Guilty at a gig last week at Brooklyn, N.Y.'s The Bell House, where he also covered The Go-Betweens' "Love Goes On" for the encore. Newman said he submitted the song (along with A-Ha's "Take On Me") to Starbucks for their upcoming Valentine's Day compilation.
