BSS Help Food Bank, Announce Show

Broken Social Scene are encouraging you to bring a non-perishable donation to their Toronto shows this month so you can feed some of your fellow Canadians.
The band will play Toronto's Sound Academy on Nov. 27 and 28, and they'll have Land Of Talk and The Beauties with them on the first and second nights, respectively. The items collected on behalf of the collective will be donated to the Daily Bread food bank.
Broken Social Scene will perform "Churches Under The Stairs" from Brendan Canning's Something For All Of Us... album on The Late Show With David Letterman on Dec. 17.
BSS will play a few shows south of the 49th parallel in the new year and will have Tegan And Sara with them on Feb. 6, when they play the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver (Tegan's home base). The show will be part of the Vancouver 2009 Cultural Olympiad, which is part of a multi-year celebration of Canadian arts and culture that will serve as a countdown to the city's hosting of the 2010 winter Olympics.
