Neil Finn released 7 Worlds Collide — a live album which featured guests including Eddie Vedder, Johnny Marr and Radiohead's Phil Selway and Ed O'Brien — in 2001. Finn is set to record a follow-up to that album at Auckland, New Zealand's Roundhead Studios shortly.
The disc, which doesn't have a title or definite release date yet, will see return appearances from Marr, Selway, O'Brien, Soul Coughing's Sebastian Steinberg and singer/songwriter Lisa Germano, along with Finn's son, singer/songwriter Liam Finn, and Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glen Kotche and Pat Sansone.
All proceeds from the disc will go towards Oxfam International, a non-governmental organization that seeks to end world poverty and injustice. The album's release will be in conjunction with a series of concerts in Auckland next year.
Finn's Crowded House will play a few shows in Australia at the end of November and the beginning of December.
