A spokesperson for Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has said if the band are to tour without singer Robert Plant, they won't use the Led Zeppelin moniker.

Rumours of a Led Zeppelin tour have been swirling for a while now, but Plant said he wasn't interested. But now the other band members — guitarist Page, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham (the son of original Zeppelin drummer John Bonham) — are looking for a replacement singer.

"Whatever this is, it's not Led Zeppelin," a spokesperson for Page's management company, QPrime, told Rollingstone.com. "Not without the involvement of Robert Plant."

John Paul Jones recently told the BBC that the band have been rehearsing with different vocalists. One name that consistently keeps coming up in rumours is Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy. We sincerely hope this isn't true.

Rumours that Chris Cornell and Jack White were rehearsing with Zeppelin were squashed when both denied it, although Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford recently told a radio show that Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler had rehearsed with them.

In keeping with this "no Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant" business, here are some names we think this Plant-less band should use when they tour:

Dead Zeppelin - It could be a reason to pee on Eeadheads.

Ned Zeppelin - As in Not Led Zeppelin. But heck, since that sounds like a guy, while we're at it, why not throw Ted Zeppelin and Fred Zeppelin in there, too.

What Is And What Should Never Be - Because touring without Plant and renaming yourselves is just wrong.
