When (or before, for those of you who are downloading pirates) Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy is released on Nov. 23, everyone, their grandmother and possibly their dog will have an opinion on it. That includes GN'R tribute acts.
One GN'R cover band already have an opinion on the record, even though they haven't even heard it yet. UK Guns N' Roses recently told NME.com that they'll boycott Chinese Democracy because they think it won't be as good as the band's previous efforts.
"We're undecided as to whether or not we will play any of the new Guns material next year as we feel it probably won't be anywhere near the work by the original, and best line-up (in our humble opinion)," they said. "So we're thinking of naming the New Year tour the 'Stick To Your Guns Tour 09.'"
In other GN'R news, Kevin Cogill, the man who leaked several tracks from Chinese Democracy to the internet earlier this year, has changed his plea to guilty. This came through a plea bargain that downgraded his charge from a felony to a misdemeanour as a result of the guilty plea. This means he'll likely avoid jail time.
