Kanye Thinks MTV EMAs Were Fixed

It may be ill-advised to suggest an awards show was fixed if you won something at it, but Kanye West has done just that.

West, apparently the only person in the world who hadn't figured this out already, told the U.K.'s The Sun tabloid that he thinks the MTV Europe Music Awards, which were held on Nov. 6 in Liverpool, Englan, were fixed. West won the ultimate urban award over Lil Wayne, but now says the only reason he won was because he was there.

"I won nothing last year and I'd brought out 'Stronger,'" he said. "Then this year, just because I was there, I won. This was Lil Wayne's year."

Wait. West suggested he shouldn't have won an award? So all that whining and complaining in previous years because he didn't win was a joke? You have to be kidding me.

West also said he thought Britney Spears shouldn't have won the best act of 2008 award.

"Britney Spears over Rihanna?" he asked. "Are you serious?"

West didn't think that 30 Seconds To Mars should have won the rock out and video star awards, and that they only won because frontman Jared Leto hosted the awards show with Katy Perry (who won the award for best new act).

"I mean fucking Jared Leto? He's my boy but he shouldn't have won over some of those other artists."

Talk about pissing all over an awards show, which West sorta already did.

West's fourth album, 808s & Heartbreak, is due in stores on Nov. 24. It's reportedly much different from his previous work, since he sings instead of raps on several tracks and makes love to his vocoder.
