There was a lot of buzz surrounding the release of Human Highway's Moody Motorcycle earlier this year even though the dynamic duo of Islands' Nick Thorburn and Jim Guthrie hadn't played any Canadian shows.
That'll change come Dec. 14 when Human Highway play four dates in support of Moody Motorcycle in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Guelph, Ont. You can get in to the Guelph show for $10 (as opposed to the regular $12 cost) if you bring a non-perishable food item with you to a ticket outlet. All proceeds from the show will support leukemia research through Canadian Cancer Society.
Moody Motorcycle came out on Aug. 19 through Secret City Records. Thorburn also released an album with Islands, Arm's Way, earlier this year. Guthrie is working on the follow-up to his 2003 solo album, Now, More Than Ever.
Here's where you can see Human Highway:
Dec. 14 Ottawa, ON @ Mavericks
Dec. 15 Montreal, QC @ Il Motore
Dec. 16 Toronto, ON @ The Tranzac
Dec. 17 Guelph, ON @ E-Bar
