Allowing "1234" to be used in an Apple commercial helped Feist spread her popularity immensely this year, and she seems to have maintained a degree of indie credibility at the same time.
Now we'll see if Feist's sometimes bandmates in Broken Social Scene and the apparently cool Crystal Castles can match her feat.
Broken Social Scene's "Stars And Sons" is used in a new commercial for Cadbury Favourites chocolates. Does this make you crave something sweet and dark?
Crystal Castles incorporate technology into their music, so they're shilling for Toshiba with "Air War." Here's the commercial:
