Foo Fighters are scheduled to make an appearance as guest judges on television's Top Chef.
The episode, titled "Foo Fighters' Thanksgiving," will have the remaining culinary contestants scrambling to impress the band at a tour stop in Rochester, N.Y. It's scheduled to air on Nov. 26.
Grohl's no stranger to cooking. When they went across Canada on the Edgefest tour in 2000 they'd regularly host "Foo-B-Cues."
Also, at a listening party prior to the release of the Foos' sixth studio album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, Grohl grilled up his secret recipe of Dr. G's Strip Steak.
In other Foo news, the band's sophomore album, The Colour And The Shape, is now available in its entirety for download on Rock Band. (I don't know about you, but I will definitely be pounding the shit of my plastic drums during "Monkey Wrench.")
In other food news, Sebastien Grainger is keeping a blog about his favourite foodstuffs. Though it's been dormant of late what with his music career and all.
High up on his list are burgers from local Toronto joint the Swan Restaurant.
"[The Swan] burger will blow your balls off," he wrote. "It even blew my brothers balls off and he's eaten burgers INTERNATIONALLY.
"one time i called him when i was eating a swan burger and drinking a swan coffee (crazy juice), and he gagged at the thought of burgers and coffee...c'mon, this is the new millennium."
In another post, Grainger waxed poetic about a duck soup, which is just yet another reason that leads me to believe he is a bad, bad man. (Who the hell eats ducks and swans?! Anything that cute should be left alone to swim in park ponds.) Or maybe he was being witty and making a Marx Brothers reference?
