Protest The Hero Play With Lights

Protest The Hero
Whitby, Ont. metallic punk band Protest The Hero and Underground Operations labelmate Lights will take the stage at Toronto's Sound Academy on Dec. 18.

Protest The Hero completed a U.S. tour on Oct. 30 and are now promoting their Fortress full-length debut in Europe until the end of the month.

Toronto-based Lights has taken her gentle electro-pop music from her bedroom to the stage and is in the midst of an American tour with Copeland in support of her self-titled debut EP.

It seems like an odd pairing (which could become even stranger if Lights' manager, CBC Radio talking head and former Moxy Fruvous frontman Jian Ghomeshi, gets into the egg nog a week before Christmas and finds his way on stage), but you can start buying tickets for the twin bill on Thursday at 10 a.m. A buck from each one will be donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
