Kravitz Cancels Canadian Tour

Is Lenny Kravitz really sick, or are Canadians just sick of him and weren't buying enough tickets to justify an arena tour for an artist past his prime?
Well, Kravitz's website says the shows he managed to play in Canada drew "rave reviews and record attendances," so maybe he doesn't have the same (health-related?) affliction that prompted Janet Jackson to blow out her North American tour, which apparently didn't have fans burning up phone lines or feverishly pounding away at their computer keyboards to order tickets.
"Lenny is suffering from severe throat problems that have resulted in him not being able to sing or even talk," said his site, in announcing the cancellation of his Canadian tour. (Lenny not being able to talk or sing might not be the worst thing in the world...)
Kravitz originally rescheduled shows set for March to October and then, last week, cancelled performances in Vancouver and Victoria and announced that a rescheduled Nov. 12 gig in Kitchener, Ont. also wouldn't go ahead — nor would the tour-closing dates in St. John's, Nfld.
Kravitz plans to embark on a world tour next year that will apparently include a number of Canadian dates because "Lenny looks forward to seeing all of his Canadian fans again at this time and once again apologizes for the very unforeseen cancellation."
