Scott Weiland Is Happy In Galoshes

Scott Weiland is set to drop his second solo album, Happy In Galoshes, 10 years after the release of his debut solo disc.
The album hits stores on Nov. 25 through New West Records. It was co-produced by the artist and Doug Grean (Velvet Revolver, Sheryl Crow), while a few tracks were recorded by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies). Happy In Galoshes features guest spots from Paul Oakenfold and No Doubt's Adrian Young, Tony Kanal and Tom Dumont and includes a cover of David Bowie's "Fame."
The album will also be released in a deluxe edition with a 10-track second CD (that includes a cover of The Smiths' "Reel Around The Fountain") in a six-panel Digipak. You can hear "Missing Cleveland" and "Paralysis" on Weiland's MySpace page.
"It'll definitely be a sonic journey like the first album was, a little bit more focused since I'm not on a narcotic journey like I was on the last one," Weiland told The Pulse Of Radio. "But, you know, still sort of all over the map, because my influences are so wide and varied."
Weiland's last solo album, 12 Bar Blues, came out in 1998. Since then, he's recorded three more albums with the recently reunited Stone Temple Pilots and two discs with Velvet Revolver. He was given the boot from that band earlier this year. He's also been in and out of rehab since 12 Bar Blues was released.
