Fall Out Boy Break Interviews Record

Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy succeeded in breaking the world record for the most interviews conducted by a duo in 24 hours on Friday.

Singer/guitarist Patrick Stump and bassist Pete Wentz began their quest at 3 a.m. PST and conducted 74 interviews between eight and 20 minutes long with radio DJs over a 24-hour period. The two used Los Angeles' Premiere Studios as a base. They broke New Zealanders Alastair Galpin and John Stansfield's previous record of 57 interviews in 24 hours after just 10 hours. Wentz and Stump stopped only to use the john and take food breaks.

Earlier this year, Fall Out Boy attempted to set a world record by becoming the first band to play all seven continents in nine months. But that plan was scrapped because of bad weather.

Fall Out Boy's "I Don't Care" single is out now, and their Folie A Deux album is due out Dec. 16. It was supposed to hit stores on Nov. 4, but the band pushed it back so its release wouldn't clash with the American election.
