Most people became aware of Ween after the 1994 release of Chocolate And Cheese, but Dean and Gene Ween played their first "real" concert in 1987. Between those two years, the duo performed shows all over the U.S. and Europe, and now you can hear some of them on a new CD/DVD titled At The Cat's Cradle, 1992.

The package will be released on Nov. 11 via MVD Visual. The CD component features a Dec. 9, 1992 show at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill, N.C. with Dean (real name Mickey Melchiondo) and Gene (real name Aaron Freeman) on guitar and vocals. They're accompanied by a Yamaha digital audio tape deck which provides the bass and drum parts.

The DVD features footage from a 1991 Halloween show at Vera in Groningen, Holland, a Jan. 10, 1992 appearance at radio station WTSR in Trenton, N.J. and some March 6, 1992 shenanigans at Staches in Columbus, Ohio.

Dean also hosts a fishing show, and you can watch episodes of it here. The show featuring Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes is recommended.

Here are the tracks on the DVD:

"Captain Fantasy" (Vera)
"You Fucked Up" (Vera)
"Tick" (Vera)
"Boing" (Vera)
"Listen To The Music" (WTSR)
