Swedish singer, songwriter and pianist
Frida Hyvonen will release her second studio album,
Silence Is Wild, on Nov. 4 through Secretly Canadian.
The disc was recorded by Jari Haapalainen (Camera Obscura, The Concretes) at Stockholm's Atlantis studio. Haapalainen also produced Hyvonen's 2005 debut,
Until Death Comes. You can hear "Enemy Within" on Hyvonen's
MySpace page.
Until Death Comes garnered Hyvonen Sweden's Stockhomlspriset, or Stockholm Prize. She's toured with fellow Swedes Jens Lekman and Jose Gonzalez and has played as far afield as China. She's working on a collaborative project with photographer Ellin Berge that should be out sometime next year.
