Melissa Auf Der Maur will showcase some of her photography at an exhibition which launches today in New York City.
Auf Der Maur and ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead's Conrad Keely are showing their work at a gallery in the East Village. Keely will reveal the cover art for the upcoming as-yet-untitled Trail Of Dead album at the exhibition. His art has been used on every Trail Of Dead album.
Auf Der Maur was a photography major at Montreal's Concordia University before she joined Hole in 1994. She has previously showcased her photos at exhibits in Montreal, Tokyo and New York. She's also had some photos published in magazines like Nylon and Bust.
The former Hole and Smashing Pumpkins bassist is still working on her second solo album, reportedly titled MAdM, and a comic strip and film to accompany it, which will be called Out Of Our Minds. You can preview the film, comic strip and album at xmadmx.com. She will give fans a sneak preview of the album and film on Nov. 1 at Montreal's Lion D'Or. Neither project has a concrete release date.
