Contrived Prep Third Album

Contrived, which features four of Wintersleep's five members — and two which can be associated with Holy Fuck — will release their new album, Blank, Blank, Blank, on Nov. 11.

The Hand Drawn Dracula release was produced by Dave Newfeld (Broken Social Scene, Shawn Hewitt And The National Strike) and was recorded at Halifax's Sonic Temple Studios. You can hear "Not A Goodbye" at Contrived's MySpace page.

Contrived's lineup consists of vocalists/guitarists Mike MacNeil and Jon Samuel, guitarist/keyboardist Tim D'Eon, ex-Holy Fuck bassist Mike Bigelow and current Holy Fuck drummer Loel Campbell. They originally formed in Halifax and released their self-produced debut, Pursuit Of Plots, in 2002. Their sophomore album, Dead Air Verbatim, came out in 2005 and was produced by Two-Minute Miracles frontman Andy Magoffin (Great Lake Swimmers, Constantines).
