Since I Mother Earth disbanded five years ago, guitarist Jagori Tanna has dipped into the production side of the music industry. His latest production credit is putting bands on the small screen with his new documentary series, The Rawside Of...

The eight one-hour episode series — which Tanna is credited as creating, as well as being an executive producer and writer — takes viewers behind the scenes of the music industry and into real life band struggles through "uncensored conversations and unlimited access to musicians" like Brendan Canning, Metric and Die Mannequin. Filmmaker Bruce McDonald (The Tracey Fragments, Hard Core Logo) directed three of the series' episodes.

The Rawside Of… will premiere on The Independent Film Channel Canada at 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 with an episode that follows Born Ruffians on tour through the U.S. as they make their way to Austin, Texas' South By Southwest Music Festival. Additional episodes will examine the struggles Brendan Canning went through while making his debut solo album, the difficulties Die Mannequin faced with touring and writing on the road and The Cliks' desire to be known as more than a "lesbian band."

Here is the fall schedule:

Oct. 28: Born Ruffians (Ep. 1001)
Nov. 4: The Cliks (Ep. 1002)
Nov. 11: Brendan Canning (Ep. 1003)
Nov. 18: Die Mannequin (Ep. 1004)
Nov. 25: Dodger (Ep. 1005)
Dec. 2: Bourbon Tabernacle Choir (Ep. 1006)
Dec. 9: Gracer (Ep. 1007)
Dec. 16: Metric (Ep. 1008)
