Moakler Had "Gnarly Feeling" About Plane

Shanna Moakler, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker's ex-wife, said a bad feeling prevented her from being on board the plane that crashed carrying Barker, DJ AM and others.
Barker, DJ AM and two members of Barker's crew were leaving Columbia, S.C. en route to Van Nuys, Calif. when the plane they were in crashed while it was leaving the runway. Barker and DJ AM (real name Adam Goldstein) suffered severe burns in the crash, which killed two of the plane's crew members, Barker's personal assistant, Chris Baker, and his security guard, Charles Still.
"I was supposed to go with [Travis] to South Carolina, and at the last minute, I had this gnarly feeling and said, 'I don't think we should fly together anymore,'" Moakler told US Weekly magazine. "God forbid something ever happened... our kids wouldn't have both parents.
"Instead of flying a commercial flight back home, they decided to take a private jet. He emailed me pictures of the plane and said, 'It's really small and scary.' I had a bad feeling, but didn't want to sound strange, so I said, 'Be safe.'"
Moakler told US Weekly that when she got news of the crash, she thought the phone call was Barker and DJ AM playing a joke on her, and then had to break the news to Atiana, her nine-year-old daughter with boxer Oscar De La Hoya, and her children with Barker: five year old Landon and two year old Alabama.
"I almost hung up on him. He said, 'No, ma'am, I am very serious.' I was like, 'Oh, my God. What do I do?' and started crying."
Meanwhile, Barker wrote another update on his MySpace which included pictures of him with rapper The Game, his father and aunt and a photo of him giving the finger to the camera which shows off scars from his burns.
"I think Im getting out of the hospital soon :)," Barker wrote. "I can't wait to get out of here and be home with the babes. The doctors say Im healing up quickly and I'm gonna be out of here b4 you know it."
In other news, DJ AM made his first live appearance since the crash when he backed Jay-Z up at a show on Wednesday. Jay-Z played a special benefit show for the reopening of the Hollywood Palladium on Wednesday night, and DJ AM played for almost two hours with Hova. Jay-Z asked the crowd to "make some noise" for DJ AM and paid respect to the four people killed in the crash.
